Veteran radio presenter Anat Dolev died Saturday at the age of 52, after battling a serious illness for several months.

Dolev started her career as a news reader on Army Radio, before moving to the Israel Broadcast Authority, where she filled many roles on radio as well as the IBA’s Channel 1 television station.

Colleagues paid tribute to Dolev on Saturday.

“Anat broadcast to her last day, even when she could barely walk she insisted on reaching the microphone she loved so much,” said Israel Radio director Shimon Elkabetz.

“She cast a ray of light on phenomena and areas of interest that were part of everyday life for us all.”

Chico Menashe, Dolev’s colleague and director of radio station Reshet Bet, called her “a voice — and a person — that we will all miss.”

For the past few years, Dolev had presented a daily afternoon show that always included a segment entitled “A small, good thing,” which was devoted to an item of positive, uplifting news.

Dolev will be laid to rest on Monday at noon, at the Ramat Hasharon cemetery.
