Another senior police officer suspected of sexually harassing female subordinates was summoned for questioning by police internal affairs investigators Wednesday.
The officer, whose name is being withheld for now, is under investigation for abusing his position of authority to initiate sexual relationships with female junior officers.
The allegations came to light after several women lodged a complaint against the officer with the internal affairs unit of the police several weeks ago.
He is the sixth senior police officer accused of misconduct, sexual or otherwise, since 2013.
Last week, Deputy Commissioner Nissim Mor, once a contender for Israel Police commissioner, was accused of sexually harassing and assaulting a policewoman, as well as carrying on inappropriate relationships with other female subordinates.

Responsibly covering this tumultuous time
As The Times of Israel’s political correspondent, I spend my days in the Knesset trenches, speaking with politicians and advisers to understand their plans, goals and motivations.
I'm proud of our coverage of this government's plans to overhaul the judiciary, including the political and social discontent that underpins the proposed changes and the intense public backlash against the shakeup.
