Behind the Headlines ToI Community Exclusive

WATCH: Yossi Klein Halevi on the big questions of this war

Exclusively for Community members: On January 25, the noted author weighs in on what Israelis fear the world doesn’t understand, and what Israelis don’t understand about the world

The webinar will be available on this page on Thursday, January 25 2024 at 9am ET/4pm Israel

After three and a half months of war with Hamas, Israeli society appears to again be shifting apart even as the armed conflict continues in the Gaza Strip. At the same time, passionate, young voices from the Diaspora raise alarm over the future of continued support for the Jewish state.

To make sense of what this moment means for the present and future of the country, noted author Yossi Klein Halevi joins deputy editor Amanda Borschel-Dan for a Behind the Headlines webinar this Thursday, January 25, exclusively for Times of Israel Community members.

A recording of this special episode of Behind the Headlines will also be available right here on-demand for later viewing.

Klein Halevi is a senior fellow at the Shalom Hartman Institute in Jerusalem. Together with Imam Abdullah Antepli of Duke University and Jennifer Raskas, he co-directs the Institute’s Muslim Leadership Initiative.

He is the author of the New York Times bestseller, “Letters to My Palestinian Neighbor,” and the co-host alongside Donniel Hartman and Elana Stein Hain of the podcast “For Heaven’s Sake.”
