Six teenagers from the East Jerusalem neighborhood of A-Tur were arrested Monday over the sexual assault of a 40-year-old Polish tourist over the weekend.

The six, all aged between 12 and 14, had posed for a photo with the tourist before one of them assaulted her, the Hebrew-language Ynet news site reported.

The incident took place on the path leading from A-Tur to the Gethesemene garden outside the Old City walls.

The tourist managed to flee the scene and reported the incident to the police.

The 14-year-old who allegedly carried out the attack was questioned by police and confessed to the assault.

He is slated to be remanded at the Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court after the Sukkot holiday.

The remaining suspects were questioned and granted conditional release, Ynet reported.
