Brazil backs Guaido as Venezuela’s interim leader
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleBrazil throws its support behind Juan Guaido as Venezuela’s leader, after the head of the opposition-controlled parliament declared himself the interim president of his country in open defiance of President Nicolas Maduro.
“Brazil recognizes Mr Juan Guiado as Venezuela’s interim president,” Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro tweets.
He sends the post from the Swiss ski resort of Davos, where he and other Latin American leaders were attending the World Economic Forum.
