Departing to UK for Balfour centenary, PM hails ‘formative’ document

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hails the Balfour Declaration a “formative event in the history of Zionism,” as he leaves Israel for the UK for a series of commemorative events marking the document’s centenary.

Speaking to journalists at Ben Gurion Airport, Netanyahu says he will also meet with British Prime Minister Theresa May and Foreign Minister Boris Johnson during the visit to discuss the “difficulties” of the Iran nuclear deal.
