Egyptian intelligence officials arrive in Gaza for ceasefire, reconciliation talks

Egyptian intelligence officials entered the Gaza Strip on Thursday through the Erez border crossing with Israel, the Hamas-linked Palestinian Information Center reports.

The intelligence officials are expected to meet Hamas leaders to discuss intra-Palestinian reconciliation and a possible ceasefire between the terror group and Israel, the Palestinian Information Center report says.

In the past month, Egyptian intelligence officials have come to Gaza to hold talks with Hamas leaders several times.
