Ex-Greek PM Papademos hurt in car blast
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleGreek former prime minister Lucas Papademos was hurt when an explosive device went off inside his car in Athens, state agencies say.
State news agency ANA says Papademos is undergoing surgery for abdominal and leg injuries at an Athens hospital.
State TV ERT reported that his life is not in danger.
Two of his guards were lightly hurt, the station says.
ERT says Papademos, prime minister from 2011 to 2012, was wounded by a letter bomb as he read his mail in the back of the car.
