Official says 7 killed in twin blasts in Turkey

A Turkish security source says at least seven civilians were killed in two separate bomb attacks earlier today that were blamed on the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK).

Four people died in a car bomb attack in the center of the city of Diyarbakir, while another three civilians lost their lives in a near simultaneous bombing in Kiziltepe in Mardin province to the south, says the source, who asked not to be named.

Both bomb attacks had been aimed at passing police vehicles, the Dogan news agency says. NTV television says 25 people were wounded in the Mardin attack and 13 people wounded in Diyarbakir.
