PA suspends Hamas TV broadcasts in West Bank
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe Palestinian Authority has suspended the activity of the Hamas movement’s Al-Aqsa TV channel in the West Bank, the channel says in a statement posted to its Facebook page.
“The PA’s security apparatuses have announced officially to all broadcasters in the West Bank that they are forbidden from airing the Al-Aqsa network,” the statement says.
Reports interpret the move as an attempt to curb Hamas “incitement.”
