UNIFIL probing alleged Hezbollah cross-border assault attempt
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleA UN peacekeeping force in southern Lebanon says it is investing into what the Israeli military says was an attempted cross-border attack by Hezbollah terrorists earlier this week.
UNIFIL tweets that Stefano Del Col, the head of the mission, is in touch with the sides “to contain the situation, decrease tension & preserve cessation of hostilities” between Israel and Hezbollah.
Following recent incidents across #BlueLine, UNIFIL has launched an investigation to determine the facts & circumstances.
