Israeli tourist killed in New Zealand car crash

An Israeli tourist was killed on Saturay and five other Israeli tourists were injured in a car accident in New Zealand.
The six tourists, three couples in their sixties, were driving in a rented van near the southern city of Christchurch when they veered off the road and rolled down a steep slope a distance of 40 meters (130 feet) before coming to a stop.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Another woman was in critical condition, while the others suffered serious and moderate injuries. They were evacuated to hospital.
Paramedics told TVNZ it was incredible that only one person was killed after such an extreme fall.
The television station also reported that it was believed the deceased woman had not been wearing a seatbelt. The cause of the crash is yet unclear.
