5 arrested for storming pro-Israel student event in Toronto

Police in Toronto, Canada, say that five people have been arrested for storming a pro-Israel student event featuring IDF veterans yesterday.
A police statement says that the protesters allegedly forced entry into a building holding a private event, damaged property, caused injuries from broken glass, caused attendants to fear for their safety, and assaulted a police officer.
The five people who were arrested range in age from 21 to 29, and were hit with charges including assaulting an officer, obstruction, forcible entry, and unlawful assembly.
Students Supporting Israel at Toronto Metropolitan University organized the off-campus event with IDF veterans.
The university’s chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine put out a call to target the meeting on social media.
The pro-Israel group released videos showing its members piling furniture in front of a glass window while the protesters gathered outside.
The two groups shouted at each other through the glass door before the glass was smashed. It was unclear which side broke the glass.
The pro-Israel group shared a video of blood seeping out of a sliced forearm, as a woman cried in the background.
