Blue and White takes jab at Netanyahu over bribery charges against Likud MK

The Blue and White party takes a dig at Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his political allies after the attorney general decides to charge Likud MK David Bitan with bribery in a corruption probe, pending a hearing.

“The charging document against MK David Bitan demonstrates that Netanyahu’s immunity bloc is composed of the most corrupt coalition in Israel’s history,” the party says in a statement.

Besides Bitan, Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit has announced charges against Netanyahu and Likud MK Haim Katz. Police have also recommended Interior Minister Aryeh Deri and Health Minister Yaakov Litzman face criminal charges.

All have denied wrongdoing and Netanyahu and Katz, both of whom had their pre-indictment hearings, have asked the Knesset to grant them parliamentary immunity from the respective charges against them.
