Holocaust survivor who murdered nurse deemed fit to stand trial
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe Tel Aviv district psychiatrist says the elderly Holocaust survivor who burned a nurse to death at a Holon clinic in March is fit to stand trial.
Asher Faraj, 77, burned to death 55 year-old career nurse Tova Kararo after the flu shot he received from her made him feel weak and unwell.
After Faraj’s arrest, his family members told the court he suffers from an unspecified mental illness, and that he had previously sought psychiatric care.
