IDF discloses extent of humanitarian aid to Syria
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe IDF for the first time discloses the extent of humanitarian aid it has transferred to victims of the Syrian civil war in recent years.
The aid, code-named “Operation Good Neighbor,” has seen Israel transfer over 360 tons of food, 450,000 liters of gas and 50 tons of clothes over its northern border to victims of the Syrian war since the initiative was launched in June 2016.
Israel has also transferred aid in the form of medicine, food and infrastructure equipment to some 200,000 Syrians living in the villages adjacent to the Israeli border.
