A 40-year-old man was stabbed to death in Beersheba Friday night and shortly afterwards a 24 year-old man was shot dead in a shootout in the southern town of Aroer.

Initial investigations indicated that a Beersheba man asked his teenage neighbors to keep the noise down, and they stabbed him in the torso.

Magen David Adom paramedics tried to save him, but he succumbed to his wounds and was declared dead. Police began searching the area for suspects.

Two males, a 15-year-old and a 24-year-old, were shot during an inter-family dispute in the Bedouin village of Aroer in southern Israel. The two were evacuated to Soroka Hospital in Beersheba in critical condition; the latter died of his wounds.

Police are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
