Police arrest a man on incitement suspicions, fearing he sought to attack members of the LGBTQ community, as thousands travel to Tel Aviv for the city’s annual Pride parade.

The 37-year-old Haifa resident was nabbed “amid concern of intentions to harm the participants in Pride Month events across the country,” police say, after he posted what appeared to be incitement.

“They were annihilated once; it seems like the time has come to annihilate [them] again. Sick people, disgusting,” the suspect’s Instagram post reads.

Police will request to extend the man’s detention in the Haifa Magistrate’s Court, law enforcement says.
