Over 107,000 people have traveled through Ben Gurion Airport on Thursday, Hadashot TV news reports, in the busiest day for travel ahead of the High Holidays.
According to the network, some 2.2 million people are passing through Ben Gurion during September, which includes the Jewish holidays of Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, and Sukkot.
It says of those flying from the airport, 18 percent are headed to Bangkok, 16% to New York, and 12% to the Ukrainian capital of Kiev.
Many Jews travel to Ukraine for Rosh Hashanah to make a pilgrimage to the grave of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov in Uman.
