IDF probing killing of Hezbollah operative who shot Oketz dog

The IDF says it is further investigating who killed the Hezbollah gunman in southern Lebanon’s Bint Jbeil yesterday, after initially reporting that a female Oketz dog handler had fired the deadly shots.
Reservists scanning the area claim that the gunman was shot dead by them after the initial encounter, which resulted in an Oketz dog being killed.
“The incident will be investigated and lessons will be learned. Upon completion of the investigation, the IDF will present the findings transparently. If a mistake was made, it was a good-faith human error,” the military says.
