Jerusalem man shot by soldiers to be laid to rest
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleSimha Hodedatov, a Jewish man who was shot to death in Jerusalem Wednesday night by soldiers who thought he was a terrorist, will be laid to rest at 3 p.m. in the Yarkon Cemetery.
The funeral procession will begin in Petah Tikva, Ynet reports.
Hodedatov was shot by soldiers during a physical altercation, apparently fueled by his suspicion that the security personnel were themselves terrorists.
Hodedatov, 28, an immigrant from Dagestan, was a student in a yeshiva in Jerusalem. He had previously served as a soldier in an ultra-Orthodox IDF combat unit and after his discharge worked as a security guard in a kindergarten.
