NY governor skips Peres funeral following Hoboken train crash

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo says he will not be attending Shimon Peres’s funeral in Jerusalem tomorrow, due to the train crash today in Hoboken, New Jersey.

At least one person was killed and over 100 hundred injured when a train plowed into the station during the morning rush hour.

Cuomo was meant to join the dozens of international dignitaries and heads of state at tomorrow’s service on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
