Israeli group plans mass consolation visit to Abu Khdeir family

An Israeli group that promotes Jewish-Arab coexistence is planning a mass visit to the mourning tent of the family of Muhammed Abu Khdeir to offer condolences for the killing of their son.

The Tag Meir Forum says the event will take place on Tuesday and is organizing buses from Jerusalem’s International Convention Center, or Binyanei Hauma.

“The visit is coordinated with the Abu Khdeir family who welcome it and are touched by our coming to their mourning tent,” the group said.

Tag Meir is a coalition of 39 Israeli organizations serving as the moral answer to — and a word play on — Jewish attacks against Palestinians and their property, known in Hebrew as Tag Mehir, or “price tag.”
