Likud must close gap to prevent a Herzog-Livni win, warns PM
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GooglePrime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says that if the gaps between his ruling Likud Party and the Zionist Union, led by Isaac Herzog and Tzipi Livni, don’t close in the run-up to election day on March 17, “there is a chance that Bougie and Tzipi will take the leadership, with the backing of the (Arab) Joint List.”
“The risk that they will lead is high,” he says at an elections event in Netanya.
“Those who are concerned, should only vote Likud,” he says.
A Channel 2 poll last night put the Zionist Union in the lead with 25 seats, with Likud trailing behind with 21 mandates.
