US and Israel jointly carrying out strikes in Iran, US official tells ToI

The ongoing strikes in Iran are being carried out jointly by the US and Israel, a US official tells The Times of Israel.
While the strikes were initially thought to have been carried out by Israel, which has publicly confirmed being behind them, the US official reveals that it is a joint operation.
The Trump administration has yet to publicly comment on the strikes beyond a tweet from US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee urging embassy staff and American citizens in the country to obey Home Front Command orders and reside near shelters.
In what may have been a sign of what was coming, Huckabee emailed embassy staff early Friday morning, telling those thinking about leaving the country to do so “TODAY.”
