The Hostage and Missing Families Forum calls on Israel’s government to cease implementing a ceasefire agreement ending the war in Gaza until the bodies of 19 hostages remaining in Gaza are returned.
“At a time that Hamas is violating the agreements and still holding 19 hostages, there is no room for Israel to advance unilateral steps,” the group says in a statement. “Any diplomatic or military action that does not ensure their return is an abandonment of Israel’s civilians.”
“There will be no victory and no revival until they are all here,” the group adds.
Members of the forum made a similar appeal to IDF chief Eyal Zamir yesterday.
On Wednesday, a senior adviser to US President Donald Trump denied that Hamas was violating the deal by continuing to hold on to bodies, claiming that the terror group was doing all it could to retrieve them.
The group has so far released nine out of 28 hostages whose bodies are in Gaza.
