Half a year after Gilad Shalit came home, his older brother, Yoel, announced his engagement on Wednesday to his fiancee, Ya’ara Winkler, Maariv reported.
Yoel and Ya’ara have been dating for three years, and reportedly met while the Shalits protested in a tent outside the Prime Minister’s residence.
The couple made a splash during last year’s Memorial Day ceremony at Mt. Herzl by running on stage bearing signs and shouting slogans calling for Gilad’s release.
