The Israel Defense Forces on Saturday said it arrested two Palestinians who crossed into Israel from the Gaza Strip.
The army said that the two were taken for questioning after being captured by IDF soldiers, who spotted them crossing the border fence in southern Gaza.
Both were handed over to security forces for questioning.
The border fence contains a bevy of sensors and cameras to support the large number of soldiers who regularly patrol the area. Infiltrators are typically caught within moments.
Residents of Gaza occasionally cross the border into Israel, and are generally unarmed. They often do so with the intention of getting caught, seeking to escape the harsh circumstances in the Strip.
