A Russian missile barrage overnight killed at least 12 people in Kyiv as explosions echoed across Ukraine’s capital throughout the night, local authorities say.

At least 33 people are wounded, according to Ukraine’s Emergency Service.

Ukraine’s air force says that Russia had launched dozens of ballistic, cruise, and hypersonic missiles, as well as 168 drones. It adds that air defense units downed 145 drones and most of the cruise missiles but did not down any ballistic missiles.
