After UNSC vote, Sa’ar says international community must prevent nuclear Iran
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleAfter the UN Security Council voted down a resolution aimed at preventing the reimposition of snapback sanctions against Iran, Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar says, “The international community’s goal must remain unchanged: to prevent Iran from ever acquiring nuclear capabilities.”
The statement avoids explicitly welcoming the Security Council vote.
Today, the UN Security Council voted to reinstate extensive sanctions on Iran, effective September 28.
Iran’s nuclear program is not intended for peaceful purposes.
