The senior officers summoned by IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir ahead of “personal recommendations” and sanctions over the October 7, 2023, failures include the chiefs of the Air Force and Navy, and a host of senior generals.

The senior officers who were summoned include Israeli Air Force chief Maj. Gen. Tomer Bar; Navy chief Vice Adm. David Sa’ar Salama; former Operations Directorate Maj. Gen. Oded Basiuk; former Intelligence Directorate chief Maj. Gen. Aharon Haliva; former Southern Command chief Maj. Gen. Yaron Finkelman; former Gaza Division commander Brig. Gen. Avi Rosenfeld; and current Intelligence Directorate chief Maj. Gen. Shlomi Binder, who on October 7 served as chief of the Operations Division.

Lower-ranking officers were summoned by Deputy IDF Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Tamir Yadai.

Among them is Col. Ariel Lubovski, who served as the intelligence officer of the Southern Command on October 7.
