Anti-Israel signs hang from Greek Acropolis

Greek anti-Israel activists have hung large banners on the Acropolis in Athens, calling on Israel to “End the genocide” and “Free Palestine” in both English and Greek.

The protesters are from Greece’s Communist Party (KKE) and its youth wing KNE, the latter says on social media.

The Acropolis and its Parthenon temple are among the country’s most famous tourist attractions, serving as a symbol of ancient Greek civilization.

Greece has been the site of several anti-Israel protests in recent months, including a “Day of Action” against Israeli tourists in August, although it ended without major incidents.
