A quiz which is part of the matriculation examination in English leaked was being disseminated among Israeli students from Arab villages in the north, a second such incidence in less than a month.
In April, parts of the examination in Arabic leaked. Then too, the source of the leak was found to be schools in Arab villages in the north, and the Education Ministry decided to cancel the examination.
Last week, the Education Ministry decided to nix a test in Hebrew literature for students of the Arab and Druse sector after it was revealed parts of the test were leaked on social media.
On Monday, the English test took place as scheduled but parts of it were replaced with new questions.
According to NRG, the leak occurred in a post office where the tests had been sent in sealed bags.
Education Ministry director Michal Mahan says the case is “very serious.”
“Keeping the tests pure is a top priority of the education system. Hurting this ultimate value is a blatant and serious violation of the educational craft. Good grades should be achieved by intensive learning,” she says.
