IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir says Israel is at a “turning point in the war,” ahead of “the next stage” of an offensive against Hamas.
“We are in the midst of a multi-front, prolonged, and unprecedented campaign. We are at a turning point in the war, ahead of moving to the next stage of Operation Gideon’s Chariots, which focuses on deepening the blow against Hamas in Gaza City,” Zamir says to senior officers during a conference earlier today at the Gaza Division.
The conference was also attended by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz.
“We are preparing and approving plans. You must prepare all frameworks for the continuation of operational developments,” Zamir tells the officers.
