Israel demolishes homes in West Bank’s Jordan Valley despite postponement order

Israel demolishes a number of homes in the West Bank’s northern Jordan Valley, despite an order postponing the demolitions until September 3 amid a legal battle by local residents against the demolitions.
IDF forces and the Civil Administration, the body responsible for enforcing construction laws in the West Bank, demolish some three structures in Ein al-Hilweh, a community of several Palestinian families in the area.
The demolitions were carried out despite an order issued by the Civil Administration on August 3 to delay the works for a month.
The Civil Administration does not immediately respond to an inquiry about the demolitions.
