Defense Minister Israel Katz met with IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir at the Southern Command headquarters in Beersheba this morning to go over the military’s operational plans “to take control of Gaza City and to create the conditions for ending the war.”

“We are now calling up our heroic soldiers in the reserves, in career service, and in compulsory service to bring about the release of the hostages, the defeat of Hamas, and the end of the war under the conditions set by Israel,” Katz says during the meeting, according to remarks provided by his office.
