Lapid congratulates Peter Magyar on victory over Orban in Hungary’s election
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleOpposition Leader Yair Lapid congratulates Peter Magyar on his Tisza party’s election victory, as it is projected to win a supermajority and end Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s 16-year rule.
“I hope that under your leadership, the relations between Israel and Hungary will continue to deepen and strengthen,” Lapid writes to Magyar on X. “Best of luck!”
Last month, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu effectively endorsed Orban, saying his rule meant “safety, security, stability.”
