Police reportedly arrest two US citizens suspected of photographing sensitive security facility

Police arrested two American citizens yesterday on suspicion of photographing a sensitive security facility in Jerusalem, Hebrew outlets report.
The two, who are both studying in Israel, were caught by a security guard at the site near the city’s entrance, which is not identified, after hopping the facility’s perimeter fence. Police arrived at the scene and searched their phones, where the officers found that the pair had documentation of the site.
Officers are expected to file a court request to extend the suspects’ detention by five days, according to the Kan public broadcaster.
Israel Police does not immediately respond to a request for comment.
