Sexual abuse complaint filed against veteran director and acting coach
Claim against Miki Gurevich comes 10 days after he resigned from acting studio over three accusations brought to school’s administration

A sexual abuse complaint was filed with police Sunday against Miki Gurevich, a veteran Israeli director, playwright, and acting coach, who recently resigned from a teaching position at an acting school amid mounting accusations of sexual misconduct.
A former student at the Nissan Native Acting Studio lodged the complaint against Gurevich, her former teacher, claiming sexual abuse, emotional abuse, deception, and illicit relations, due to the teacher-student connection between them.
Through her attorney Roni Aloni Sadovnik, the complainant asked that travel restrictions be imposed on Gurevich, preventing him from leaving the country.
Ten days ago, Gurevich resigned from the Nissan studio, where he had taught for four decades, following three complaints against him brought to the administration. Another two former students are expected to file police complaints in the coming two weeks, Hadashot television news reported.
Several years ago, Gurevich was banned by the acting studio from holding private meetings with students after administrators received reports of misbehavior.
However, the recent complaints apparently indicate he continued to meet privately with his students, Hadashot news reported.
Gurevich refused to comment on the developments.
Two years ago, the Haaretz newspaper investigated claims by actresses in the Khan Theater in Jerusalem, where Gurevich was artistic director, in which they complained of issues such as private meetings at late hours in his home, where he would touch them and initiate intimate conversations.
