A woman was arrested on suspicion of physically abusing her daughter, aged 3, after hospital staff became suspicious of the girl’s injuries.
Police said the woman’s partner was also arrested. The two suspects, in their 30s and from Jerusalem, were detained on Sunday night.
A local hospital alerted authorities after the woman brought her daughter in on Friday suffering from injuries.
Hospital staff, concerned at the nature of the injuries, contacted police and welfare services.
Police said they would go to court on Monday to keep the suspects in custody.
