Police arrest 15 women in raid on Haifa strip club

Other local businesses and homes also searched on suspicion they were housing illegal gambling

Police and Immigration and Borders Authority agents raided a strip club in Haifa Wednesday, arresting 15 women on suspicion of being in the country illegally.

Authorities were investigating allegations of prostitution at the club, according to Israel Radio. The women were transferred to the Department of Immigration, and the club owner was arrested.

Police also raided four apartments and businesses in the Haifa suburbs on suspicion of housing illegal gambling. The owners were taken in for questioning.
