Amid heated debate on Haredi draft bill, Likud MK urges sides to talk substance, not slogans

Following multiple screaming matches between lawmakers and attendees, Likud MK Dan Illouz calls on members of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee to hold a discussion on ultra-Orthodox enlistment focused on the subject matter, rather than using slogans.

“People are just speaking in slogans,” the Likud MK declares, calling on the opposition and the Haredi parties “to say what they want” to come out of a conscription bill rather than to engage in rhetoric aimed at garnering views on social media.
