Army says Hezbollah arms maker killed in southern Lebanon drone strike

A Hezbollah operative involved in developing and manufacturing weapons for the Lebanese terror group was killed in a drone strike in southern Lebanon last night, the Israeli military says.
According to the IDF, Muhammad Ali Yassin was targeted in a car in the Nabatieh area. Lebanon’s health ministry says one person was killed in a strike that took place in the town of Burj Qalaouiyah, south of Nabatieh.
“During the war, Yassin took part in the development and production of weapons for the Hezbollah terror organization in Lebanon,” the army says, adding that his activities “constituted a violation of the understanding between Israel and Lebanon.”

Since a November 2024 ceasefire, the IDF says it has killed over 230 Hezbollah operatives in strikes in Lebanon, saying they were violating the terms of the truce.
