Firefighters gain control over fire near Mevaseret Zion
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleFirefighters announce that they have achieved control over a brush fire that broke out on the western outskirts of Jerusalem today, threatening the nearby town of Mevaseret Zion and drivers on Route 1, between Tel Aviv and the capital.
“Large forces with the help of other districts are continuing to operate on the ground,” fire officials say, noting that both “ground and air crews are working diligently to prevent the fire from spreading further.”
