Hebrew U joins 3 other universities in announcing participation in Aug. 17 general strike
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe Hebrew University says it will join a planned general strike on Sunday, called by hostages’ families to protest the government’s decision to widen the war in Gaza rather than sign a deal to return the abductees.
The Jerusalem university’s management, dean and school heads say they will strike, urging the government to “do whatever it takes, including ending the war, to return the hostages now.”
However, exams scheduled for that day will be held normally.
The Tel Aviv University, Ben Gurion University and Haifa University have previously said they will join the strike.
