Defense Minister Israel Katz says he was updated in an assessment today that the military has demolished 83% of the Hamas tunnels in the IDF-held portion of the Gaza Strip.
The assessment with IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir and other top officers was held to mark 1,000 days since the October 7 onslaught.
“We thwarted Iran’s nuclear program and removed an existential threat from the citizens of Israel, eliminated Khamenei and most of Iran’s ruling leadership, and severely damaged its strategic capabilities — and the IDF must prepare for an independent ‘blue and white’ strike on Iran whenever necessary,” Katz is cited as saying by his office.
