Netanyahu says Likud aiming to take 40 Knesset seats in next election
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GooglePrime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tells members of his Likud party their goal is to reach 40 Knesset seats in the next national election.
He tells a group of party candidates running in upcoming local elections the vote would “strengthen the power of the Likud throughout the country.”
He said reaching 35 seats, up from the Likud’s current 30, was a “reasonable” goal, but says 40 is the target goal.
“We’re getting there,” Netanyahu says. “With God’s help and with yours, the Likud faction will reach the heavens.”
