Pro-Israel rallies around the world call for hostage release, mark 6 months of war

In a flood of posts on social media, demonstrations and gatherings can be seen around the world marking six months since Hamas’s October 7 massacre in southern Israel and calling for the release of 129 hostages still held by terror groups in Gaza.

In New York, pictures show thousands of people are gathering near the UN Headquarters in Manhattan.

Demonstrators at the rally can be seen locked in cages with “SOS” signs to draw attention to the plight of the captives in Gaza.

Former prime minister Naftali Bennett addresses the crowds at one of the gatherings in New York, according to a photo posted on X, formerly Twitter.

In Toronto, a rally showing support for the plight of hostages is interrupted by a pro-Palestinian counterprotest.

Posts on social media also show protests in European cities including Brussels, London, Amsterdam and Paris.

Israeli ambassador to Belgium and Luxemburg Idit Rosenzweig-Abu shares a photo of the Brussels rally on X.
