Report: IDF chief’s assistant has been briefing journalists, contrary to regulations

Contrary to regulations, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir’s assistant has been in close contact with journalists, the Kan public broadcaster reports.
According to Kan, Assistant to the Chief of Staff, Col. Alon Laniado, has been increasingly briefing reporters and other media figures recently.
The chief of staff has a spokesperson who would normally answer journalists’ queries via the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit.
