Report: Senior Hamas operative targeted in Gaza City strike survives, IDF investigating

The “senior terrorist” targeted yesterday in an IDF strike in Gaza City was not killed, the Ynet news site reports, without citing sources.

According to the report, the military is investigating why the assassination attempt failed.

Two people were reportedly killed in the strike, which was carried out after Hamas operatives opened fire toward an area in the northern Gaza Strip where Israeli forces were operating.

The identity of the Hamas operative targeted in the strike remains unclear.
